Olive

Well. I knew I also had a cat to care for at my sit in Mosman. The thing is...I never saw her in daylight! Yes. The first time Olive decided to show her face was when I woke up in the middle of the night with her laying on me...the cheek! She made a habit of appearing after dark, unless it was raining of course and then she would deign it necessary to make an early appearance to escape the drenching. She would then meow loudly until I came up to bed and proceed to make me her claw cushion. In the hour before dawn, she would be gone to do whatever-cats-do-in-daylight-hours type of things.

She is your true example of cupboard (or should that be...pin cushion) love.

I didn't mind. She is a character and a half.

Parklife

One of the many perks of house and pet sitting is, along with meeting new furry friends, you get to find new places of interest you may never have stumbled across in another life. With this sit in Mosman, Honey (the sweetie I am looking after at the moment) and I looked up a local dog park and set off in my trusty little hatchback. Well.... this pooch park is stunning!! Set between some craggy cliffs and the water, it is three soccer fields of lush, green grass just perfect to get some lawn between your toes. To top it all off, at the far end is a community artist's studio that I would never have known of any other way.
Lots of places to discover...just grab a lead, a willing walking companion and off you go. The. Best. Pooch. Park... (I think anyways :)

ps. nearly forgot in all my effusiveness...it is Primrose Park, Mosman

Bella & Harry

Who could say no to these two? Well fed and well walked but still giving me goo goo eyes just in case I 'happen' to drop some of my toast...good luck guys!

The straight & narrow

I think it is a good idea to display a fairly recent police check certificate with my profile. Every couple of years, I get an updated one so my home owners can feel secure...happy homeowners means a happy sit for all.

Ledger update

A little while ago, I mentioned that a stray kitten had decided this was the place to be so pretty much moved in? Well, here he is making himself all sorts of comfortable on the outside table. Nice orchid too :)

All hail!

Wow! That is one impressive hail storm yesterday. I was a bit worried as some of the pieces that were coming down were 8.5cm in size. Luckily everyone was ok and took shelter...even Simba who is a storm lover from way back. Here's a pic

....and then there were 6!!!

Well, I have been away for a little while and now back pet sitting in Kellyville... my last stint here until I come back in late September. Before I left, a little stray kitten decided that this must be cat heaven (yes, it is!) so had decided to stay. My lovely couple have adopted him. Well they are trying but he is a shy little thing and small steps are being made. He is a cutie and here are some pics showing our slow, but sure progress. His name is now Ledger due to him having made his home underneath the ledge in the gully at the side of the house. I think underneath the couch is a better idea. Welcome home little guy!!
